Our Time

London photographer, Cat Garcia, recently published her book ‘Our Time’ - a collection of photographs and commentaries of creatives living in the city. I was included in this collection along with the artist Polly Morgan, Sir Paul Smith and Sir Peter Blake.

Nicky Haslam offered these observations of me which were the commentary to the series of pictures of me that Cat took. He kindly said;

“Robbie’s eye is deeply original and always sure. Nothing is too difficult for him when it come to creating the effect he envisages. He has a theatrical brio, typified by his design for the launch of my decorating book ‘Sheer Opulence’, where he created magic with towering white magnolia branches bearing life-size white peacocks in vast white-and-green spotted urns. It is a pleasure to see him at work, his energy unflagging and his humour and generosity paramount.”

I recently attended the launch of the book and I took a moment to gratefully reflect on my journey as a creative in London and being included in the book along side such luminaries.
